PHOTOMETER, PRECISION Performs required MQSA, ACR (NITS) measurements! NIST Traceable Nuclear Associates' Precision Photometer is a highly accurate instrument designed to measure both illuminance (the amount of light falling on a surface) in lux (lumens per m²) and luminance (the amount of light emitted from a surface) in nit (candela per m²). The Precision Photometer easily and quickly verifies that an x-ray collimator light and/or CT system light source used for patient alignment and localization, is in accordance with regulations and guidelines. It also measures the brightness and uniformity of an x-ray viewbox, quickly detecting non-uniformity (which may appear as artifacts, causing misdiagnosis). The battery-operated Precision Photometer has a bright LED display and only two operating controls: Measure for taking a reading, and Range to adjust the meter display to the light level being measured. SPECIFICATIONS Capabilities: Illuminance measured in lux (foot-candles) and luminance measured in candela/m², (nit). Readout Display: 3 digit LED, 1/4" high. Range: 00.1 to 999,000 in either lux (foot-candles) or candela/m², (nit). Accuracy: Within 7% of full scale in any range, for light sources between 2500º Kelvin and 5400º Kelvin. Sensor: Silicon photo diode with photometric filter. Response Curve Shape: Close match to CIE photo-optic response curve. Batteries: Type A-76 alkaline button cells or silver oxide equivalents. Dimensions: 4"H x 2-3/4"W x 1-1/8" thick. Weight: 4 oz. |
