Slim Steel Body Construction

    • Flexi-Grip Film Holding System
  • Engineered for maintenance free reliability and durability.
  • Handles all film thicknesses, wet or dry.
  • Requires no field adjustment.

    • High Gloss White Finish
  • Standard hospital white is compatible with most medical facililty decors.
  • High gloss finish projects a hospital quality appearance.
  • Chip and wear resistant.
  • Sanitary, easy to clean surface resists harsh cleaning materials frequently used in medical facilities.

    • Translucent Viewing Panel
  • Shatterproof translucent panel provides consistently even light diffusion.


  • Translucent panel is easily removed for cleaning and maintenance (eg: changing lamps).

    • Continuous Bottom Film Ledge
  • Allows for reading of multiple film sizes on a viewing area.

    • Electrical Specifications
  • U.L. Listed, C.S.A. Approval Pending - Manufactured to meet safety specifications required in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Each viewing area contains two 15 watt daylight florescent lamps which are controlled by two ballasts. The ballasts are U.L. Listed and C.S.A. Approved.
  • Power: 110-124 Volt - 60 Hz - 0.7 amps per 14x17 viewing panel.
  • Lamps: Two F15T8/D or equivalent.
  • Grounded chassis with 3-wire 6 ft. cord and NEMA 5-15, 2 pole, 3 wire ground plug.
  • No hazardous electrical parts are exposed when the diffusing panel is removed for cleaning or lamp replacement.


    • * Viewing height is actually 16.5" in order that extraneous light is eliminated when standard 14 x 17 film is inserted.

    ** Overall recessed fixture dimensions, including recessed trim length and height, are 3" greater than surface mounted dimensions.

    FAS: "Film Activated Switching" is the option to allow the viewing panel to automatically power on when a film is slid into the film grip at the top of that panel. Without the FAS option, you will have to manually switch on/off each panel.

    For those who are interested in portability, Maxant does offer a Handle & Feet option.

  • Factory mounting sheets are available for the surface mounted models: VS-201, VS-202, VS-203, VS-204, VS-205, VS-206, VS-211, VS-222, VS-233, VS-244, VS-255, VS-266.
  • Factory cut sheets are available for the recessed mounted models: VR-201, VR-202, VR-203, VR-204, VR-205, VR-206, VR-211, VR-222, VR-233, VR-244, VR-255, VR-266.
  • Cut sheets apply to both FAS and non-FAS models alike.
