specification and architectural requirements of your project. Shielding can be used in both new facilities and to
upgrade existing rooms to accommodate an new/upgraded x-ray system. Our sales professionals will work with your architectural, construction and/or project managers to provide competitively-priced solutions for full systems or components needed for your project. We offer several different lead thicknesses to accommodate various physics requirements and have the ability to customize plywood or drywall products to suit specific needs. Typically gypsum wallboard panels are furnished as 1/2" and 5/8". Fire code gypsum board meeting Classification ASTM C 36, with pure lead sheet meeting Federal Specification QQ-L-201 f, Grade C, factory laminated under pressure to the back side of the gypsum panel. Lead sheeting thicknesses up to 1/8" are used with gypsum. Thicker lead sheeting is bonded to plywood for structural integrity. Popular Leaded Drywall Applications... Products are custom manufactured to customers specifications, and are typically available in one day/next day. Accessories for installation include a 2" wide lead batten strip for vertical joints and corners along with lead tabs or lead discs for screw penetrations. Lead headed nails for wood stud installations and sheet lead for backing and shielding of cut-outs for electrical, plumbing, medical gas or other penetrations. Each 4'x8' sheet comes with: 1 lead batten strip 1/32" x 2" wide x 84" high (for the vertical joint between sheets) 50 qty. 1/32" thick lead discs for the screw penetrations (Can use standard drywall screws for installation.) Specify whether lead to cover 7' or full 8'. Request custom sizes as well. |
